Busy day today - Got up early and attended the ceremony for the World War I traveling display. This was and is an awesome sight and since it was a long time ago, a lot of folks don't know much about it. A breakfast was provided for all Veterans, which was special. A Lot of Viet Nam vets showed up, some Korean and even a couple WWII vets were there. Paul and I did a photo shoot for the sponsors to have for whatever they might want to use the photos for. The driver of the big Semi was a gem to talk with also. He told us the display relies a lot on donations and here is the kicker. A couple months ago in WASHINGTON DC the total donations for the display was $78. YES THE CHEAP politicians or whatever. Then he went on to explain they went to a ski resort and for the day collected over $5,000. I am sure they got more in donations here than in DC since Mary and I started things off with almost the DC donations.
Later in the day booked a party for December 15th for a 4-year old birthday party. Worked on and perfected a way to let customers take their proofs home but 100% can't do anything but look at them.
Anxious to get the picture frame factory up and running again. Lots of hard work but I am sure that Paul, Salena, Sharon and Steve will be ready to fill in where needed. This gang of mine is truly awesome and many have the "eye" that I lack, but with my sales and marketing skill they will soon be a legend in their own rights. Sure glad we aren't processing film anymore they would maybe put us in the poor house, but on the last wedding of about 850 shots there were 795 that were good. Since several were at the wedding there were duplicates but right now it is the training and they are coming along perfect. The personalities of the group is near perfect.
Stay tuned for more happenings and such
